The programmer is used to program the controllers on forklifts and ball truck. It is a replacement. It can be used on most for Curtis products and is programmable and easy to troubleshoot.    

DB9 is used to communicate with the controller and the DB9 connector contains the serial port, CAN port and power port on a 2x2P 4.2mm for Molex 5557 cable.    

USB Type C is used to communicate with a computer or cell phone.    

USB Type A is used to transfer data via USB flash memory.

When the programmer updates its software and is powered by the battery, it is important to ensure that the battery has sufficient power. A dead battery during the update process will result in system power loss, upgrade failure, software loss, and programmer failure. It is highly recommended to use USB Type C or controller to power it when updating.
