5. Operation method

Choose a comfortable position to stand on the ground, hold the instrument with your hands, and keep your elbows firmly against your sides. Note: You must hold the instrument in front of your body, allowing enough room for the receiving antenna to spread out, and tilting the antenna slightly downward from the horizontal. This angle is probably between 7 degrees and 10 degrees.
2. Standardize your scanning actions. First, allow the receiving antenna to be properly extended. Place the receiving antenna directly in front of you, at 90 degrees to your body, and cannot deflect to the left or right.
3. When the antenna is aligned with the target, the instrument will lock, even if you step across the target to continue detection. When you feel that this lock is effective, you remember this direction. Then, move the instrument about 10 meters to the left or right, and repeat the target locking process just mentioned. Observe the locking direction this time. The intersection of the two directions is the buried position of the target.
4. If you feel that the specific position just measured is still offset to a certain extent, you can lock it from another angle. If the target is within about 10 meters, walk slowly and steadily along one of the determined routes. When you pass an object and are directly over it, the instrument's antenna will swing from side to side. The position measured at this time is very accurate.
Introduction to auxiliary detection methods
box method
It is recommended to use the box method to narrow the search scope. This method enables positioning to be as precise as possible. Get accurate and equal response by approaching the target from four directions to pinpoint the target.
First place the target on the ground, then you can learn to adjust the product to point in the direction of the target. Therefore, a skilled operator typically sets up a sample target, walks over the target placed on the ground, observes hit rates, adjusts the instrument, and then continues the search parallel to the area after narrowing down the target using the crossover method.
Once you follow this step, you can narrow the area down to 20 feet or less. You can then use a regular metal detector to get the job done. Some people who are quite proficient in using this product can almost pinpoint the target point to their feet. To achieve this level, it is recommended that you practice frequently. (As shown below)
When searching a target area using this method, stand in the front and center of the area and scan. The detector will indicate whether the substance or material being searched for is in the left or right half of the area.
If the detection was made in the right half of the area, move to the center of this section and scan again. With a second detection, a trained operator can determine a quarter of the circle, left or right, where the material is located, dividing the area vertically. (See below)
